who we are
i am
larissa.
I studied this and that, created small and big things, released something here and there.
As an artist, cultural pedagogue and yoga teacher, I am interested in finding out, being surprised, amazed and seeing the world with new eyes; get lost and find again - strengthen the anchor and solve safety nets. This drives me and leads me to the desire to accompany other people on their way to the Creator Self.
In anticipation of our creative journey, I borrow the words of Mary Oliver: "Tell me, what are you planning to do with your one, wild and precious life?"
I am
joe.
I was blessed with a creative childhood, and I feel music, poetry and spirituality as three threads that have, in different ways, always been woven into my life.
Growing up my parents (mother and step father) helped to run a folk music club and festivals where I had my first performing experiences. Alongside this I took my love for poetry from my Father and later studied literature with poetry at University in London. While in London I began to engage as a songwriter in peace activism within a few organisations including the Plum Village Community.
A few years later after being involved in a few retreats, I met Larissa and from a shared love of creativity and a belief in it's possibility to heal and inspire, WUYA came to be.
Fearlessness is not only possible, it is the ultimate joy. When you touch nonfear, you are free.
